The Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History

After visiting the Etowah Indian Mounds we went to the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History.  The girls had fun seeing the artifacts in the museum (they seemed to especially like the personal effects of the soldiers - pictures they carried around and etc.).  They have a neat children's section at the Southern Museum were you can dress up and play various games and such.  The neatest thing however is getting to see The General.  A locomotive that Union troops stole during the civil war - (there was a movie made by Disney years back called "The Great Locomotive Chase" it tells the story really well).  Here are a few pictures.

Elise looks like she is ready to start a journey across the plains with a handcart in this picture...
Sashi was the only one small enough to try to "sleep tight" on the bed - doesn't her face show such great comfort?  Makes me grateful of my bed
